Intangible Values of Post-Pandemic Public Spaces_ULaval_#6

This presentation (Acfas, May 7, 2025) explores the intangible values of public spaces in a post-pandemic context, using the city of Québec as a case study. It examines how the temporary arrangements implemented during the COVID-19 crisis gave rise to new landscape qualities, by bringing together the perspectives of urban planning professionals, citizens, and on-the-ground stakeholders. The approach is based on a typomorphological analysis and Jan Gehl’s 12 quality criteria, as part of the Canada-wide Living Atlas of Built Environment Quality project.
