Vale Living with Lakes Centre Case Study

Date5 August 2026

The Vale Living with Lakes Centre is a successful example of a symbiotic integration of the built environment within Sudbury, Ontario’s natural environment. The centre functions as a working lab through an organization called the Cooperative Freshwater Ecology Unit, which monitors and studies the health of the local watershed in response to the industrially-polluted landscape from the region’s complex mining heritage.
