Eau Claire Plaza

"This was a place that really stood out, especially in the summertime. There was something about it that felt lively and active. Inside, there were smaller, more eclectic shops that felt different from typical commercial retail. It did not feel like the usual chain-based environment. There was also a children’s play area, which made it easier to sit and spend time while kids were playing. Outside, the space opened up into a more active public area with water features and open space. People would come in from the river pathway, and the transition between those areas worked well. There were small elements like food stands, nearby restaurants, and buskers that added to the experience. It felt like a place where people gathered, not just passed through. What stood out most was the atmosphere. It felt vibrant, especially on weekends in the summer, and it was a place people enjoyed going to." (Adapted from interview material.
