Qualité, accessibilité et participation du public sur le front de mer de Toronto : une étude utilisant des méthodes mixtes sur le Harbourfront Centre_TMU_#17

This project explores the quality, accessibility, and user engagement at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre through a two-week direct observational study, followed by in-depth interviews with business owners in the Harbourfront Centre area. Findings show that the space is heavily used by young and middle-aged adults, while children, teenagers, wheelchair users, and individuals with visible disabilities are underrepresented. Accessibility barriers, including uneven surfaces, insufficient ramps, and the absence of public restrooms, are noted. The results highlight gaps in inclusive design and support recommendations to enhance safety features, family-friendly infrastructure, and access for individuals with disabilities.
