Terry Sawchuk Memorial Arena

Originally built in 1961 as the East Kildonan refuse plant, the building was modified and expanded in the early 1970s to become an arena. Its distinctive original industrial architecture was retained while adapting the building to a new community and recreational use. Distinctions: Massey Medal in Architecture – Honourable Mention, 1961
