"I experience 13th Avenue as a street where you can really see that something is happening. When you walk there, it is not just about movement anymore. People are using the sidewalks differently. They stay, they sit, they interact. It feels more active, more alive. The sidewalks are a big part of that. They feel more generous, not just standard, and that changes how people behave. You can see that the street is not only functional, it actually supports everyday life. There is a different rhythm to it, people moving through, but also stopping and spending time. At the same time, you can feel that this did not happen right away. It came over time. What you experience now is the result of many things coming together. It is not one big gesture, but many small decisions. The way the buildings meet the street, the way space is given to people, the way everything connects. All of that creates a better experience. You can feel that there is a higher level of quality there. It is not perfect, but it is clearly better. When you are there, you can notice the difference. People are more present in the space, and that is really what makes it work. For me, the experience is that shift, from a purely functional street to a place where life is actually happening."
