"What stands out about the MacKimmie Tower is how it was developed and constructed. There was a level of care and detail in how the building was put together. The glazing system, for example, was not something taken from a catalogue. It had to be developed and tested to achieve the final result. That kind of process shows a different level of effort and thinking behind the building. There is also the fact that it reuses an existing structure rather than replacing it completely. That adds another layer to how the building is understood. It feels like a project where design, construction, and craftsmanship come together. That combination is what makes it stand out."
