"I experience Nose Hill Park as a place that is inviting because it is diverse. It is not just one kind of landscape. It has more groomed areas, more romantic notions of landscape, but it is also about wild, and that is important. When you are there, you notice that mix. You move between spaces that feel more controlled and others that feel more open and natural. That contrast gives the park a different kind of experience. It does not feel overly designed. The natural systems are really present, and that allows people to use the space in different ways. It is more flexible in that sense. For me, that diversity, between the groomed and the wild, is what makes it exemplary. It creates a place that feels open and inviting in a broader way." (Adapted from interview material.
