"I would say the Simmons Building is one that really stands out to me. It was a galvanizing project. I grew up around Calgary and have watched this area change over time, with all its complexities, so seeing that transformation has been really interesting. What stands out is how the project helped solidify the RiverWalk connection back over to Inglewood, which is such a gem of a community. It also really emphasized local identity through things like local coffee, local bakery, and local food. From there, the space around it and the East Village more broadly just kept evolving and growing. To me, it became a really strong part of the area’s identity." (Adapted from interview material.
