"I experience the RiverWalk as a place that is really well used by people. Every time I am there, there are so many people, and all different kinds of people are there enjoying it. There are benches, there is a really nice view, you are surrounded by nature, and there are coffee shops you can pop into. It is just a really nice place to be out and about. One of the things I notice is how wide and spacious the path is. On a nice day, it feels like everybody in Calgary is there, but it still works because there is enough space for everyone. I also really like that the bike lane and the pedestrian sidewalks are separate. You do not feel like you are going to get run over. You can have a nice walk, and people biking can also move comfortably without navigating around too many people. There is something about being there on a nice summer day, enjoying the river, enjoying downtown, and being part of a busy city that I really enjoy. The river feels like an important part of what makes Calgary, Calgary, and this space really lets you experience that." (Adapted from interview material.
