Constructed in 1908 and designed by Warren and Wetmore, Union Station is a prominent example of Beaux-Arts railway architecture in Canada. Its steel-framed structure, Tyndall stone façade, grand central dome, and richly detailed interior reflect Winnipeg’s historical importance in the development of Western Canada.
